Machinist Setup Operator

WCS Industries in North Branch, Minnesota, is looking for an experienced Metal Machine Set up Operator for our 1st and 2nd shift to be part of our growing company. Experience working in 5S environment essential. Ability to lift 40 lbs required.

Metal Machine Setup/Operator

Responsible for the manufacturing of precision Cold Headed components to our customer’s quality specifications and delivery requirements while achieving WCS Company goals. Experience in metal stamping, machining or cold heading preferred.

Essential Duties:

• Effectively communicate with other employees in order to improve the flow of parts from department to department.
• Set up and operate Cold Headers to fabricate parts that adhere to our customer’s strict quality specifications.
  • Perform setup, in process and final part inspection to the customer’s blueprint.
  • Accurately fill out all applicable quality documents.
  • Achieve machine Set up’s and operational run times as established on the work orders.
  • Operate more than one machine at a time.
  • Able to analyze, determine and make the necessary adjustments to a progression header to achieve the desired results for each station.
• Be actively engaged in Continuous Improvement.
  • Maintain 5S cleanliness in work area
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Report and assist in resolving issues regarding machines, safety, production and quality.
