WCS Industries is looking for experienced machine setup/operators for our 1st and 2nd shift to be part of our growing company. Experience working in 6S environment essential. Ability to lift 50 lbs. required.
Spring Coiler Setup/Operators
Set-up equipment, inspect parts, operate coiling equipment when needed. Responsible for satisfying customers by meeting specifications and delivery requirements while pursuing continual improvement and achievement of established Company goals.
Essential Duties:
- Load and reload wire onto machines.
- Prep machines and set-up simple physical spec jobs, e.g., compression, extension, loose tolerances.
- Operate and adjust complex jobs, e.g., conical, torsion, tight tolerance.
- Operate more than one machine at a time.
- Make adjustments in program and machine set-up, e.g., OD, pitch, square up ends.
- Insert tooling (per written set-up instructions—if available) and load program.
- Troubleshoot minor problems with spring and coiling machine.
- Make adjustments, e.g., cam placement and pitch tools.
- Make adjustments to program and macro program.
- Make precise tooling (arbors and pitch tools).
- Write new, complex program; with multi bends and plains.
- Troubleshoot all set-up and spring issue problems.
- Design all tooling needed to complete jobs.
