Material Handler

WCS Industries is looking for experienced Material Handler for 1st shift at our North Branch, Minnesota facility to be part of our growing company. Ability to lift 50 lbs required.

Material Handler

Overview:

Perform a variety of activities related to receiving items delivered to WCS’s facilities, moving RAW materials and finished good parts to appropriate areas and doing applicable paperwork along with entries into ERP system. Responsible for satisfying internal and external customers by meeting specifications and delivery requirements while pursuing continual improvement and achievement of established Company goals.

Essential Duties:

• Perform daily PM’s and clean up in assigned area.
• Adhere to safe fork truck operating procedures.
• Physically receive items that are delivered to WCS’s facility.
  • Compare actual items received to receiving paperwork.
  • Check for damage to items.
• Perform inventory transactions in computer; accurately and timely.
• Deliver MRO items to requester (person or department).
• Pick-up unused wire from production areas, return it to (physical) inventory storage location.
• Place production materials in designated locations; in an organized manner.
• Deliver Work-In-Process (WIP) to next operation or designated area.
• Load large wire carriers onto machine re-reeler, as directed/needed.
• Ensure work centers’ have materials for next job.
• Assist in shipping as needed (making boxes, packing boxes and sorting parts as required by customers).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
